Spring is finally here, bringing the sunshine and beautiful daffodils. With winter behind us, we can now look forward to refreshing our wardrobes. Today we want to share with you our favourite spring inspired prints and colours.
We are currently loving the vibrant colours of this ‘ Lively’ – Green Waves print. Which is paired beautifully with our Royal Blue crepe de chine. This would make a stunning outfit, a dress and jacket combination would definitely be fantastic!
Below is a softer look with ‘Naomi’ – Vintage Pink print, which has been put together with the colours, Ecru and Titanium Silver in Silk Satin. These colours really complement each other, creating a pastel springtime look, especially if you have a spring wedding to attend. The ‘Naomi’ print can be found on our website in three different colour ways, click on the image below to take you to the ‘Naomi’ – Vintage Pink on our website.
‘Naomi’ – Vintage Pinks is a hand drawn design created in house, here at Beckford Silk. The majority of our print collection is created in house. They either start out as a drawing or a painting, taken from lots of different inspirations.
The inspiration for this design, pictured below – ‘Bauhaus’ – Pastel, (the clue is in the name!) was inspired by the interesting design work produced at the The Bauhaus in Weimar (Germany). Which attracted famous painters such as Paul Klee and Kandinsky to lecture there. This is a stunning pastel geometric design, which is great if you are looking for a non floral print, in soft colours for this spring.
We have put the print with two solid colours to complement the ‘Bauhaus’ – pastel shades. These colours are, Fuchsia and Mid Purple, both in the crepe de chine. We feel that these colours help to pick out the splash of pink and purple within the ‘Bauhaus’ pastel print.
Lastly here is another of our favourite florals for spring, this is the ‘Country Garden’ – Water colour Blues. It is a beautiful print which would look wonderful made up into a tea dress or flowing Kaftan for the perfect lounge wear. Here it is teamed up with ‘Sky Blue’, which blends well with the colours of the flowers. Both of these fabrics are shown in our silk crepe de chine.
This is a small collection of our fabric prints, which will hopefully make you feel inspired. Do you have a favourite from our print collection? if so, then do share it with us.
Thanks for reading our blog – we do hope you will join us again soon.
