Bold and Beautiful – Summer Colours!

Happy Friday – With summer here, we are enjoying an explosion of colour at Beckford Silk. I have put together a range of summer prints and colours to inspire you for your next me-make this summer! The range includes some bold prints, with attention – grabbing colours, ready for those summer garden parties or for that long awaited holiday, somewhere nice and hot.

Brushstrokes – Orange and Aqua with Tangerine and Fuchsia

Brushstrokes – Orange and Aqua is a beautiful bold print, it has lots of colours within the design. Which means it’s a great versatile print, and can be teamed up with lots of striking colours. In these photos I have put it with Tangerine and Fuchsia and also Royal Blue. There are lots choice to create a stunning outfit, especially for those of you wanting something bold to wear your exotic holiday.

Lively – Red Splash
Lively – Red Splash with Celeste Blue

This stunning painterly design is our Lively – Red Splash, it has sumptuous colours. Which would make it ideal for a summer maxi dress or floaty beach wear. I have put this print with Celeste Blue, which is such a rich colour and complements the print. Both of these together would make a very bold summery outfit.

Retro – in Sapphire Blue with Dusky Purple

This is our take on the retro trend which is on the high street this summer, Retro – Sapphire Blue. Its a gorgeous print of tonal blues. It matches really well with our Dusky Purple, if you wanted to team up the print with a solid colour, to break up the circles.

This is currently one of my favourites, Naomi – Brilliant Green. I’m hoping to make a summer dress from this! It’s such a wonderful bold colour, with a delicate floral design. I’ve added the natural white silk satin to compliment this print, as I feel it would be lovely to add as a contrasting trim.

Tranquility – Pinks with Carmine

Another floral for this summer print range is Tranquility – Pinks. This is such a stunning soft watercolour design. I think it would make a wonderful statement maxi dress, ready to wear for those summer parties. Here I’ve teamed it with Carmine.

I’m really looking forward to starting some summer projects. I hope this has inspired you for any me-made summer garments you have planned. Any of these prints would add a splash of colour to your summer wardrobe. What is your favourite me- made summer outfit?

Thanks for reading – I hope you will join us again next week!
